Dr Lydia Nyankom Takyi a highly motivated Senior Lecturer and PhD holder in Entrepreneurship with over a decade of expertise in teaching, training and research.
Dr Takyi’s diverse skills have been honed through experience in professional and academic settings at a major public university in Ghana. As a United National Development Programme (UNDP) trainer in lean innovation model, MASHAV Carmel trainer in marketing strategies and business development and Fellow of Project Management Ghana, I possess a deep understanding of how to shape innovative project and ideas, marketing principles, digital and marketing tools, and sales strategies that drives brand promotion, customer engagement, business growth, development and success.
Through over 10 years of experience in the academic and business field, she has strategically developed copious of experience and skillsets in identifying, pursuing, and creating opportunities for business growth; through enhancing the market presence, revenue, and sustainability of any business. She has developed comprehensive graduate, undergraduate and certificate curricula that incorporate cutting-edge topics such as BSc Management Education, BSc Entrepreneurship with Education and certificates programmes including digital marketing, customer relationship management, sales optimization, business development, branding and project management.
Her approach is rooted in helping students, professionals and entrepreneurs enhance their entrepreneurship skills through both theoretical knowledge and practical application. Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including NGOs and government bodies, to stimulate and sustain marketing and entrepreneurial education, excellent managerial, administrative, and academic writing skills, and committed to enhancing student entrepreneurial mind-set and employability.
Dr Takyi is currently dedicated to advancing research on entrepreneurship education, career and employability to enhance students’ entrepreneurship and employability skills through soft skills training and entrepreneurial activities.
