Dr. Abdul Karim Hakib

Dr. Abdul Karim Hakib, is a creative educator and trainer, consultant in culture, creative industries, organisation and leadership development. He is a facilitator of innovation and change and uses creative approaches for sustainable community and individual development. He favours theory-U and creative placemaking in leadership training, policy making/guidance and development processes.

He is a lecturer at the Department of Theatre Arts-University of Ghana with many years of professional experience.  In addition to his academic profile, he is an experienced creative workshop leader and drama practitioner. He has led collaborative productions nationally and internationally. 

He has been engaged in a number of works for and with organizations like Solidaridad West Africa, Environmental Protection Agency of Ghana, Plan International – Ghana, Theatre for a Change, Africa Adaptation Program on Climate Change, United Nation Organization and UNESCO and other International organizations. He is a fellow of the National Arts Strategies in the USA, a creative community fellows program that brings together a unique community of innovators committed to using arts and culture to design solutions for community problems.
